This long overdue episode has a lot of ground to cover. I procrastinated in doing the podcast and newsletter this month but with good reason and a slight setback that made no sense.

The deck that was an echo of the past got rightfully roasted and resulted in a breakthrough. At the same time the Hustle Fund released an excellent e-book about fundraising and deck design. I found the key people needed to execute all of our marketing, branding and engineering goals for 2024, now it’s just a matter of getting them the resources they need to execute.

Hallowed Be Thy Name is now available anywhere that sells online books. Do a review and either send it to me or a link to it and we’ll pay you $25 dollars. The next comedy show is still in the works, material is ready, I just need to find the time to shoot and edit.

The money landscape and how I want to see regular people see huge ROI’s off our vision rather than deep pocket VC’s. Tested ads and conversion tracking turned out to be a real pain in the ass. Started using and toying with AI a little more recently, I made something that has me pretty giddy about the near future with programs like Sora on the horizon.

Presented by Gratwick. Hear that? It’s silence coming from Felicia for the first time in more than a week. An update on our film packaging efforts and how The Offer is a double edged sword and the Any Given Sunday speech all rolled into one. Bob Evans was a national treasure. Do whatever it takes to get your movie made. A meeting with an old friend hopefully brings reality to life. An excerpt from the LaMDA transcript shows proof it’s time to define what is sentience in an AI…at the very least.

Presented by Gratwick. Kris is finally back and ready to talk about the Buffalo shooting (in his hometown) and the rest of the rampant violence that followed soon after. The Washington Post Journalist on Journalist crimes are a good example of how everyone has lost their minds and the media outlets fueling the divisive rhetoric are cannibalising their own. In an explanation for how Gratwick intends to save the world by saving the artists Kris breaks down how Hollywood math works and how smart contracts are the solution. Self scouting our process and procedures led to unintended drama and benefits. This weeks research was on which blockchain platforms like Ethereum and Cardano are best for building decentralized apps on. Tech tip of the week, Kris breaks down how he figured out how to get Discord Stages shared on Twitter Spaces.

Produced by Gratwick. Baron joins the show to discuss his time in Alaska. Raised in Baltimore Baron is now a night manager in a small town in Alaska under the northern lights. He shares strange experiences, a haunted room with an obese ghost and the dark energy the hangs in the hair during 20 straight hours without sunlight. We also discuss the Phantom Time theory and how the Pope created 290+ years of history out of thin air. Electric universe and the Cosmic War thrown in for good measure.

Presented by Gratwick. A week spent in Napa and driving down the California coastline for birthdays has Kris playing catch-up with Gratwick and the news. Elon is a supervillain or superhero, he MUST be one extreme or the other and your choice MUST align perfectly with your political allegiance. Where does Elon fall on the billionaire spectrum? If a billionaire white guy can’t solve free speech, who can? After all, we were told these are the people with all the power who control the world. I thought we wanted people to use their privilege to be an ally? Maybe it’s time we define what “victory” looks like for equality before it bleeds over into revenge.

Presented by Gratwick. Florida Del, technology expert for the University of Miami joins the show. Is everyday in Miami like an episode of Miami Vice? Where are the best food spots? Working at Miami University during the switch to remote learning and did it instigate a mass exodus/retirement of Professors? The pandemic forced a lot of industries to modernize, especially the entertainment industry and their corrupt relationship with theaters. Netflix is in a death spiral. Kris is in Napa, had a camping experience without actually camping, and got to meet his favorite twitter follow Adam Housley.  Andrea smokes with a cashier and gets sentimental about dog bowls.

Produced by Gratwick. Guest DJ Midas (Music Producer, Sound Engineer) joins the show. Midas is still recovering from a crazy birthday weekend, but we make it work. Born in Rochester as the son of musician parents Midas was raised on music and adaptability. His move to LA coincided with the dawn of the hip hop era and was a mix of talent, luck and being in the right place at the right time. Midas explains how artists end up with unreleased music and his favorite project. This leads into the greatest indie project that never saw the light of day. Jodeci’s attempt to make a new Purple Rain was chaos and the experience of a lifetime right from the start. Rented out strip clubs, Flava Flav in the Palms recording studio with craigslist girls pounding $25 blue drinks and new relationships that lasted, unfortunately, a lifetime already. Midas shares what life has taught him and the number one lesson he learned from the music industry. Our social paradox is telling everyone to do the right thing when they’re growing up and then destroying their lives for doing the right thing when they become an adult. Midas gives his insight on the Tom MacDonald vs Billboard battle and we conclude the show with a breakdown of the theme song for Gratcast, Leonard Cohens – Everybody Knows.

Presented by Gratwick. Gratwick Original Dan Gambino joins the show and shares his earliest Gratwick memory. Kris officially renounces his long-standing feud with the country of Canada. A dissertation why Bad Boys 2 is the greatest movie ever made. A moment of silence for the biggest casualty of the Fast and Furious franchise; Ludacris’ rap career. Dan gets a crash course on why Tom MacDonald is a rockstar and a champion of independent artists for exposing the Billboard music chart. Benny the Butcher is taking the crown in Buffalo. Florida needs more gyms for the kids who are being ranked on a national scale in 5th grade. Dan reveals which type of Dad/Coach stereotype he leans more toward and what he’s learned from coaching his own son that he would tell other fathers. Kris gives Dan a breakdown of all the Startup Doom Porn (super Pumped, WeCrash, Elizabeth Holmes, Inventing Anna). Finally, is Dan shocked by the Pentagon’s claims of UFO-caused pregnancies?
