In The Spirit of TRANSPARENCY…

This week Gratwick got a letter from the NFL’s Buffalo Bills attorney. Apparently, you are not allowed to buy tickets and give them away, even for a charity, if you do not have their express permission. So that VIP prize has been taken off the table and the May 10th event will have a new grand prize surprise.

This week we are joined by Phoenixian via Buffalo, Ernie Green. Ernie started off in sports writing – a lot of boxing ? – then turned his charismatic skills to Stand-Up Comedy. You can see Ernie hosting A Night to Inspire on the Livestream on May 10.

Discord Questions:

  • Do you think the future is full of subscription-based software or will we ever see the “pay once and have it forever” software ever again?
  • We just saw the first images of a Black Hole. What other space images would you like to see?

Exploring Cali’s Cannabis Industry with Founder of Curated Cannabis

“A Night to Inspire” is gaining sponsors and new talent for the night. With great regret, over the past week, Conscious 716 had to bow out due to a work promotion that will require him to be out of the area at the time of the event. In a whirlwind of good luck, we were able to book the awesome Buffalo band ‘Mom Said No’! Newest sponsors: Canal Club 62 and Salvatore’s are donating gifts for the raffles.

Former Investment Banker turned Founder of a leading cannabis company, Will Sun, joins us in studio to break down this newly legal industry in California. Matriculating from the Ivy Leagues and the Financial Sector in the mid 2000s, Will saw the world pre- and post- 2008 market crash and learned how companies should be run instead of the way they had up to then. With ever expanding regulations and competition, Will reveals the many facets of the legal cannabis industry.

Joined by Creator/Founder of Codes Socks and Codes Media

Gratwick had a great week of new sponsors for the upcoming May 10th event: Infotech WNY, Twisted-Rope & Codes Socks/Media. We are looking forward to the Augmented Reality game that Twisted Rope is making for the event.

This week we are joined by the founder/creator of Codes Socks and Codes Media- under the umbrella of CODES. This entrepreneur who is not just making great products with excellent athletic endorsements but also giving back to charities with each product.

We grilled Dan:

  • -You grew up in Buffalo but you’ve been in Tampa for a long time, how did you end up there?
  • What inspired the idea to start a sock company?
  • You’re also a family man, how do you balance the day job, kids and a startup?
  • What’s it like working with professional athletes? Who is easier to deal with your kids or the athletes?
  • What is your favorites sock you made so far?
  • What is Codes Media?
  • You’re going to be presenting the second project of 4, being introduced on May 10th, what can we expect?
  • What charities does your company support?

Special Guest Tonight is Buffalo Native Brett Prusinski

Kris is back from his WNY trip to finalize plans for “A Night To Inspire”. His successful trip locked in new sponsors for the fundraising event such as Labatt’s Blue and Pure Still! VIP Tickets will be on sale next week and the free general admission ticket waiting list will begin.

Brett started as a young filmmaker and then made the leap to the music industry. We asked many questions and he was happy to spill the beans about: – You started as a filmmaker, how did the crossover come about?
– What experiences as a filmmaker have helped your music career?
– Which one of your songs hits closest to home?
– Your 2/3 of the way to a triple threat, any itch to act as well?
– Which brings you more joy, rocking the stage or running your own set?
– What can we expect from your performance at the event? – Where did you get the inspiration for your stage name? – Did you always want to do this type/genre of music? Is there another genre of music you would like to do? Like how some country go to pop? – Is there any movie you were watching and thought to yourself that one of your songs would be perfect for that scene?

Em’s Corner: Murder Mystery Game Night details

Discord Questions:

  • How do you plan on spending the weekend after the “Night to Inspire”? Relaxing or right back to the grind?
  • With so much going on with the launch party, outreach, meetings and travel, has it been hard to manage your work/home life?
  • When are we going to start filming something!?

Bullet Blitzes:

  • In Japan, every new emperor gets to name his new imperial era. The newest one has been announced as Reiwa meaning order and harmony. What would yours be?
  • The Gamer who swatted an online player from Call of Duty- or thought he did- was recently sentenced to 20 years in prison. Do you think that is an appropriate sentence considering he didn’t pull the trigger, just made the false call with info provided by another gamer, that resulted in police shooting someone who was just answering his door? Should the other gamer, who gave the false address knowing a Swatting was going to be sent, be an accessory and punished too? What about the police who shot the man who was just answering his door – sans a weapon?
  • Would you rather: act in a commercial or music video?
  • Would you rather go to Mars or Orion’s Belt ( and no return trip to Earth)?
